AtlasMatch AI

A cultural intelligence and connection platform for African and diaspora communities.

Problem

People relocating internationally, or living in the African diaspora, often struggle to find trusted information, reliable people, and meaningful cultural or professional connections. Those experiences are scattered across group chats, forums, informal referrals, and half-remembered advice. AtlasMatch AI exists to bring them together in one place, so that the questions that matter most become answerable.

Three of those questions sit at the centre of the product:

  • Where can I go?
  • Who can I trust?
  • Where do I belong?

Why I started it

My background — growing up in rural Nigeria, and my research on family welfare and financial inclusion — kept returning me to the same theme: people do better when they can find trustworthy information and trustworthy people. Moving between countries or living far from home makes both harder. AtlasMatch AI is my attempt to build the tool I kept wishing existed: something that treats trust and belonging as things you can actually design for.

Who it is for

African and diaspora communities — people moving across countries, settling somewhere new, or staying connected to home — along with the consultants, communities, and organisations who support them.

Research & insight foundation

The product grows out of questions I've studied rather than assumptions: how households and extended families support one another under stress, and what drives people to adopt (or distrust) new systems. That work is on my research page, and it shapes how AtlasMatch approaches trust, verification, and belonging.

Product journey

The experience is organised around four stages:

FindTrusted country intelligence and cultural discovery.
ConnectVerified consultants, communities, and events.
CreateCollaboration and opportunities with others.
GrowOngoing relationships and belonging over time.

High-level architecture

AtlasMatch AI is a Next.js web application deployed on Vercel, backed by Supabase for the PostgreSQL database and authentication, with Tailwind CSS for the interface.

Current development status

Founder-led product under active development.

I'm building the platform and its core areas — country intelligence, verified consultants, events, communities, cultural discovery, and collaboration — as one connected ecosystem.

My role

Founder and Product Lead. I lead the product vision, research, AI strategy, system architecture, and overall development.

Future direction

I think of AtlasMatch AI as a long-term research and product initiative rather than a finished startup. The direction is to keep deepening how the platform understands trust and belonging, and to keep it genuinely useful to the communities it serves.
