Revolutionizing AgriTech: Integrating Automated Machinery for Sustainable Farming Practices

This study explores how mechanized farming can sustainably transform rural agriculture in Nigeria. Conducted across 30 farms between 2019 and 2021 with Goldvest Nigeria Limited, the findings show a 32% net profit increase using machinery. While cultural concerns and maintenance costs hinder adoption, younger farmers show openness to change. Human-Systems Interaction (HSI) frameworks proved critical in aligning technology design with user realities, supporting sustainable growth and farmer empowerment.

Design and Development of a Decision Support System for Predicting Student Academic Performance

This study uses machine learning to predict student performance based on behavior, lifestyle, and mental health factors. It applies regression models on a dataset of 1,000 students, identifying study hours, sleep, and emotional well-being as top predictors. Linear Regression achieved the best accuracy (RMSE: 5.14, R²: 0.90). An interactive prediction tool was also developed to support educators and parents in making data-driven interventions.
